It’s an exciting time for everyone who has been involved with Blérancourt all these years. “The new architecture is absolutely gorgeous, and the large hall is magnifique—that’s the word,” says Carole Gragez, who started as a curator at the Museum in 2015.

Many American donors, Board members and active members are planning to attend the Opening. The activities include the official opening ceremony with speeches by French government officials, ribbon-cutting and a private visit to the Museum for the American Friends of Blérancourt, les Amis français, and the other VIPs, and a buffet lunch.

Later at the Palace of Compiègne nearby, there will be a private visit to the newly-opened rooms never seen before, followed by dinner and a jazz concert in the Compiègne gardens.

For the inauguration, a chartered bus will leave in the morning from Paris for Blérancourt and will return to Paris at night from both Blérancourt and Compiègne.
