For its annual Prestige Tour, this year AFB organized a tour of nine rarely seen châteaux in Picardy, not far from the Franco-American Museum.

These châteaux are often overlooked, and yet are fine representations of Medieval and neoclassical styles. Some of the châteaux to be visited include the Château de Pierrefonds, (a re-creation of Middle Ages fortress architecture in the 12th century), Château de Folembray (where visitors will probably see a demonstration of hunting with hounds which takes place there regularly), the Cathedral of Laon (one of the most important examples of the Gothic architecture of the 12th and 13th centuries) among others.

Current château owners will in many cases host a luncheon or a private guided tour of the château and grounds.

The tour celebrates its final evening at Le Clarence, an exciting new two-star restaurant in Paris.
